Ram Tiwari on Restorative Justice Working Group at OJJDP

June 25, 2019 | NFRJ is extremely thrilled to share a news that Ram Tiwari, chair of NFRJ has been nominated to be in the team of Restorative Justice Working Group formed by the US government’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquence Prevention (OJJDP), under Department of Justice. We feel all humbled by this opportunity provided by the Office and remain grateful to the Administrator Caren Harp who will be covening the Working Group.

As the newsletter of the OJJDP reads, the Working Group of “leading restorative justice advocates and practitioners…will meet several times over the next 2 years, with the goal of producing a user-friendly guide that contains definitions, principles, and implementation guidelines to help jurisdictions gain a better understanding of restorative justice and commit to putting restorative justice programs into action.”

The news about the RJ Working Group can be found here: It also includes the biographies of other members of the Group.
