Workshop on Restorative Justice for Children and Youth

Nepal Forum for Restorative Justice (NFRJ) is organizing an workshop entitled “From Harms to Healing: Restorative Justice for Children and Youth”. Restorative justice is a growing movement which aims at transforming the ways we deal with violence and harms into a culture of healing and accountability. NFRJ has been working to introduce, promote and establish restorative justice in Nepal in both formal and community justice settings. This workshop is one of those efforts.

This workshop will be led by Judge Dr. Clivia von Dewitz, who has long studied restorative justice in various parts of the world and has practiced restorative justice herself. This workshop will draw mostly from her insights into the applications of restorative justice in case of children, juveniles and youth. Facilitated by Ram Tiwari, this will also locate how restorative justice can be used in Nepal’s context.
